The easiest way for me to review it is in positive/negative bullet pointsPositives - nice cooling sensation - no overpowering smell, just smells clean - not oily feeling - stays on through sweat - twisting cap prevents leaking Negatives - "continuous spray" does not actually get everywhere you need it to - only way to get full coverage is to still rub it around, which defeats purpose of spray - did not seem to provide the protection I would expect from SPF of 30 Not an awful product, but I personally would opt for a typical rub on lotion to insure I was getting the product to fully cover my exposed areas. A few of us used this product at the beach and ended up with streaks of sunburn. When applying, everywhere was shinny, as if there was sunscreen on it, but afterwards there were definitely spots missed. I was a bit skeptical going into using an aerosol sunscreen, but the Banana Boat Cool Zone has proven better than any conventional suncreen I've used in the past.I get the same protection I do with any other SPF 30, but this product boasts several advantages. There's no mess, no oily residue and no rubbing. You just mist yourself, and within a minute you're both dry and protected. The mist is also cool when it lands on your skin: perfect for hot summer days. That being said, a word of warning: this *is* an aerosol product. You should not use this near a heat source, or go near a heat source until the application has dried. There was a story on the news recently about a man who did not heed the warning on the can and used it while standing over the grill... you can imagine how well that went. |
