Seventh Generation Baby Sunscreen SPF 30, 3 Ounce Reviews

He would blister across his cheeks and gets a hive like rash along his hairline. I wanted a physical blocker (titanium dioxide or zinc oxide.) This is the first sunblock we've tried that he hasn't reacted. On the plus side, it doesn't have the same stink as most sunblocks. It smells almost citrusy to me. It is a bit thicker than a traditional moisturizing lotion, but it's not hard to rub in. It does not appear to be super greasy. Because it is a physical blocker, it does have a faint white sheen to it if not fully rubbed in. However, my son has very light skin and this is not very noticeable. I don't know how it might be on someone with a darker skin tone. Bottom line, (even though it's more expensive than some brands) this is what we will be using when we need sunblock. I'm happy to have found a product that doesn't break him out. 5 of 5 people found the following review helpful By Nova "Nova" (north brunswick, nj) - See all my reviews This review is from: Seventh Generation Baby Sunscreen SPF 30, 3 Ounce (Health and Beauty) It seems to work just fine. We have had no issues with tanning or burning. My youngest has sensitive skin, and he did begin breaking out after we started using this, but we have never identified the cause of his eczema (he is 17 months old now) so I would hesitate to assign blame to this product because it may or may not have been this product that caused his eczema to begin flaring up again. I did just want to note it just in case though. The other thing I didn't like about it was the smell. If you have used 7th Gen products in the past, you might notice this has a familiar smell. It reminds me of their antibacterial wipes and shower spray smells (neither of which I care for, they must use the same fragrance? ...I suppose that means some people may like it I just happen not to). Being pregnant and hypersensitive to smells though the eczema outbreak and smell are enough to keep me from purchasing it again. We are back to Vanicream. Unscented, and has never caused a problem... The description sounded really good. But the smell didn't agree with me. It does not smell like any sunscreen I've ever tried. To me it smells just like Desitin diaper rash cream, very strong minty chemical smell. If you're thinking about trying this, I would suggest finding it at a store to smell it before purchasing! |
