Properties: Extreme protection against UVA/UVB rays. - UVA Ultra protection thanks to a a unique filtering system of Mexoryl SX and Mexoryl XL (patented sunscreens). - This Melt-In Cream is best for dry and very dry skin types. Results: The skin is protected from sunburn as well as UV rays induced cutaneous reactions and cellular damage. Dosage: Apply 30 minutes before sun exposure. Reapply every two hours and after each bathering. External use.

As an allergic/sensitive person, Anthelios has been great. Since I read the NYTimes article years ago, I've been buying in Europe and ebay (it used to say SPF65, 60+...). Use it daily and so glad that the USDA approved it for US sale and amazon carries it. Great sunscreen- I've never burned again- and the only brand containing mexoryl. I've been searching for an effective broad-spectrum sunscreen that is photo-stable, elegant and easily found in the US for a long time. I've gone through many brands and this is by far my favorite!I would describe the consistency as being on the lighter side of a cream. It blends beautifully and on my combination skin leaves a really nice glow. For me I find I don't need to add foundation over this as the tint has just enough coverage for during the day. I add a touch of concealer, powder and blush and I'm good to go. The tint is a really nice light/beige. For someone super pale/alabaster it could possibly be on the dark side but mixing it with another lotion would do the trick. For 90% of women I would go so far to say that it will match your skin tone beautifully. I find later in the day I need to add powder about once or twice.
