I wanted something that was a good combination of non/less toxic (which most conventional sunsreens are not) and user friendly. We decided to try this one and I'm glad we did. It is slightly thicker than most "regular" sunscreen but rubs in easily and is not nearly as thick as some of the other low toxin sunscreens we've looked at. It is thin enough that I feel comfortable that babysitters, grandparents, etc will be able to use it correctly. At less than $8 per tube, it isn't that much more expensive than conventional kids sunscreen. If you are looking for low toxin sunscreen, you need to realize that most of the ingredients that make conventional sunscreens thinner and easier to spread are the toxins that this type of sunscreen has removed.According to the Skin Deep cosmetics database, this version rates a 3 (out of 10).
