I review sunscreens because we go through it by the bucket. My son has fair skin and freckles and we live in sunny So. Cal. This was sent to me as a sample, and I now order it.
It smells like Vanilla - yummy and not chemically. It sprays light and it's not sticky. You don't have to rub it in - it sinks in within ten minutes if you can keep little hands off it.
Now, only if it came in chocolate!

Well, I purchased this to try instead of my previous Badger; the ingredients are very close and both have 22% zinc oxide, higher than most other natural sunscreens. Eco doesnt ooze out as much of that initial spill of olive oil the way Badger does but it is still a greasy whitish formula (like Badger)...what zinc oxide formulas are always gonna be, I guess. I dont understand why these natural sunscreens claim to be non-greasy, when they certainly are, given they are formulated with so many oils... The Eco doesnt rub in very quickly, takes a while to absorb and dry down, and when it does, it leaves your skin looking dry (dehydrated) and like its been lightly dusted with flour. Does seem to prevent sunburn or tanning fairly well. I really havent found any of these natural sunscreens to be the holy grail, even after years of being on the market.

Agree with A. Wagley in Indiana, except it looks like they've cut back the contents even more, from 3.5 to 1.8 oz. When I took it out of the box, I thought they accidentally sent me an empty tube. I found there was a little bit in the bottom. From the size of the 6" tube, you think you're getting several applications. This is not the case. Very expensive for a tiny amount.

I love this sunscreen, and the ingredients are fantastic! It is a bit greasy like the other reviewer said but it doesn't bother me. On me (skin type II), it rubs in very easily and clear. When it dries your skin has a powdery, silky feel to it.
I wear it on my body and décolletage area but not on my face. It does separate in the tube so you should knead it before use. If it's too much for the summer time, I'll just use the BODY version which is less oily.

I originally purchased this for a Mexico vacation for a snorkel trip where they require biodegradable sunscreen. Even though I ended up not using it for that purpose, I still really like this sunscreen and ended up using it throughout my entire vacation. My nozzle is still working even after nearly 3/4 of the bottle is gone so maybe they fixed the issue with it breaking? It sprays out in a mist you can see and its super easy to rub in, which I love! The smell is okay but doesn't have that summer time smell I typically like with Hawaiian Tropic or Banana Boat. I've been using the aerosol cans for the last year out of convenience but don't like the film they end up leaving on your skin. I'd recommend this to anyone!

I have had good luck with this sunscreen. This product claims to cover a broader UV spectrum than most sunscreens. I have fair skin, and used this product in Florida this past spring and did not get burned.
As the other review stated, this is a thick sunscreen, and it starts off feeling greasy. The trick is that very little of the product is needed to be effective. Before rubbing onto the skin, this sunscreen must first be warmed and softened by spreading it between your fingers on both hands. If this isn't done, the product spreads very poorly, and you will go through a lot of it very quickly. As the manufacturer states, only the thinest layer of sunscreen is needed to block UV rays. It's thickness also keeps it from washing away from sweat or swimming. It has a consistency similar to hair styling mud; I did not find it unpleasant or overly greasy. I have actually used it as hair styling mud, which works quite well.
Although I did not suffer any breakouts (and... Read more

We live at the beach in southern california, and are constantly in the sun and the water. This is the best waterproof sunscreen we have ever used. The water literally "beads up" on your skin so you know its working. We have been on long trips to Hawaii and Costa Rica with this stuff. Every day in and out of the water....it really works. But, you need to put it on sparingly. Do not use too much! It takes longer to spread initially than other sunblocks, but once you have even coverage, you do not need to re-apply as often. I have been using this for my kids and my family for years. It washes off with soap and warm water. Don't slather this on - spread it out.

I have had melasma (cholsma) for years. If you do not know what that is, it is basically hyperpigmented skin. As soon as the sun hits my face, the hyperpigmentation darkens horribly. Although only a cosmetic problem, having dark patches on the face is embarrassing.
I have tried every sunscreen known to man and this is the ONLY sunblock that has not worsened my melasma. I will always have it but I know it will not get worse. I have longed to be in the sun again, and now I can thanks to this sunscreen.
I would recommend this to anyone but anyone suffering from melasma there is not a better choice out there for you.
