I started using it after my son was born. I didn't want to put nasty chemicals on my precious bundle. We lived in Australia at the time so a good sunscreen was absolutley essential. I've tried other natural suncreams but always come back to this one. Yes it does have an odd scent, but I don't think it's terrible and it is on the greasy side, especially if you compared it to chemical based creams. (You will find when switching from a chemical based sunscreen to a physical barrier one ie. Zinc that the consistency is inevitably thicker and this does take a bit of getting used to) Once this particular cream is on the skin though i've found it spreads well and takes about 10 mins to sink fully into the skin. We always suncream before dressing as if it gets on your clothes it can take a stain remover to get it out! For me these are all issues i'm happy to deal with for the fact this cream REALLY WORKS and caused no nasty rashes... Smells a bit cardboardy, but not too bad, definitely not overwhelming. If you can deal with that, you can be rewarded with a the lack of guilt for applying toxic chemicals. I'm going to keep trying other natural brands and I hope UV Natural just keeps making improvements to theirs, it's very important to help these companies get more of the market. I bought this after researching it and have used it for myself and my kids for a couple of years. I have tried other "safe" sunscreens only to get sunburned or have a skin reaction. This sunscreen does cost more and is a bit difficult to smooth in, but it works wonders! I will always use this sunscreen for my family!
